We have members from all across New Jersey and other States. As our network grows, it will become easier to find others close by and/or in similar situations to your own. Please consider joining our network!
Do you struggle to meet the needs of your gifted child?
Do you feel alone in that struggle?
Our goal is to create a community of parents and educators who want to share ideas and create positive change for gifted children. This site will help you network with other parents, both online and through local support groups. It will also be a place to learn about what’s going on in gifted education, locally and at state levels.
We encourage parents:
Our gifted children deserve to be an active and successful part of the future. Together, we can make that happen!
NJPING was founded in 2006 by Kenneth Lang and Isabelle Lanini, concerned parents to help other parents. The world of parenting gifted children can sometimes be lonely and exasperating. We feel strongly that when people who share a desire to improve the lives of gifted children work together, great things will happen.
NJPING was referenced in an article from The Record titled “Helping Gifted Kids Fit In” (Section L1, L5) on October 1, 2006. Late in 2006, we had our first
Press Release followed by flyers and a newsletter in the Winter of 2007. Then, we hosted our first ever “Summer Symposium on Gifted Education” on July 25, 2007.
Please feel free to contact us should you have any questions, comments, or requests. Compiled Frequently Asked Questions will be posted in this section in the future.
